Big Meadow Creek Alpacas

Leyla has always loved attention--this is not true of all alpacas. She's become a little less willing to be pet now that she is expecting a cria in June 2012, but she's still a favorite of all our visitors.

She was the leader in the summer 2009 "cria races"! She's bound to follow in the footsteps of her dam and be a great mom sometime!

One of the rare true black suris, we're wondering what color her 2012 cria will be, since we bred her to our white herdsire, BMCA Javelin--could be black, white, or some shade of brown.
